Kill the Boy Band by Goldy Moldavsky Publisher/Year: May 19th 2016 Macmillan Source/Format: e-arc | NetGalley (Thanks NetGalley/Macmillan!) Rating: 2/5 I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This in no way affects my opinion. I was so disappointed with this book! Although I wasn't expecting to be mind-blown by the writing or plot, this sounded like a fun take on the classic boy band trope. Instead, I got a book that seemed to mock a whole generation of girls and twist their obsession into something that I just didn't find funny. I've never really been a fangirl, but if I was I think I'd be hurt by this portrayal. Maybe this just wasn't my type of humour but I'm sad that I didn't enjoy this book. Devil and the Bluebird by Jennifer Mason-Black Publisher/Year: May 17th 2016 Amulet Books Source/Format: e-arc | NetGalley (Thanks NetGalley/Amulet Books!) Rating: 3/5 I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This in no way affects my opinion. I was really intrigued by this book, because I love anything to do with music, and this was a concept I'd never heard of before. However, I didn't end up enjoying it as much as I thought I would. For me, it wasn't panned out well enough, and I felt that too many secondary characters were introduced throughout the story and were never properly fleshed out or made real. I did enjoy the family element to the story, and it was never bad, but I think I just wanted it to be better. The Doubt Factory by Paolo Bacigalupi Publisher/Year: April 7th 2016 Atom Source/Format: e-arc | NetGalley (Thanks NetGalley/Atom!) Rating: 2/5 I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This in no way affects my opinion. I had heard good things abut the author, so going into this book I had decent expectations, and sadly I was left disappointed at the end. Although thrillers aren't really my thing I did find it actually being the best thing about the book, because for me the characters certainly weren't. From the beginning, Alix annoyed me - her immediate obsession with this idiot that punches teachers and "smiles at her" just showed her to be nothing more than a spoiled brat that loves to rebel against her dad. Percy Jackson and the Battle of the Labyrinth  by Rick Riordan Publisher/Year: August 21st 2013 Penguin Series: Percy Jackson and the Olympians #4 Source/Format: Paperback | Bought Rating: 4/5 Synopsis HONESTLY, BLOWING UP ANOTHER SCHOOL WAS THE LAST THING I WANTED TO DO. As the son of a Greek god, I've had my share of near-death disaster - and now my arch enemy Luke wants to invade our camp via an ancient Labyrinth. If he succeeds, thousands of bloodthirsty monsters will attack. So it's goodbye sunshine, hello darkness as four of us descend into the terrifying underground and beyond... My review I was really excited to get to this one as the story of Daedalus and Icarus is one of my favourite Greek myths. Thus book did not disappoint at all and I honestly think it is my favourite of all 5. The introduction of Rachel really added another element to the story and showed both Percy and Annabeth's growth as characters, having to face a challenge

The One by Kiera Cass Publisher/Year:  June 5th 2014 HarperCollins Source/Format: e-arc | NetGalley (Thanks NetGalley/HarperCollins!) Rating: 3/5 I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This in no way affects my opinion. I have finally gotten round to finishing this trilogy (which is what I consider it to be because I will not be reading on). As much as I have many complaints about this series, and I understand why people dislike t so much, they're not the worst. There is a time and place for this level of drama in a book, and it is enjoyable and comforting to be able to breeze through books like these. Although, I have to say that the covers are still my favourite part about these books.
