The Look by Sophia Bennett Publisher/Year: March 1st 2012 Chicken House Source/Format: Paperback | Bought Rating: 4 stars out of 5 I have owned this book for a good couple of years, and for some reason I just kept putting off reading it. However, at the very end of 2015 I finally picked it up and I was pleasantly surprised. A big interest of mine is the world of fashion and modelling, which is why I initially bought this book. I enjoyed the fact that Bennett tried to make this book less fluffy by putting the whole cancer storyline in, and I think it worked quite well. Of all the characters, I think I liked Ava the most and the scenes with her and Ted together were my favourite of Ted's. I love a good strong family element in books and this certainly had one. I own another of Sophia's books and I will be sure to pick it up soon. When I read the words The Paper Magician, I just knew I had to give this book a go. This book, for me, was quite slow to start, but when I got into it I did actually enjoy it. Ceony as a protagonist was fine; there wasn't anything special about her, but I could see parts of myself in her.
