This week's topic is Top Ten Books I Enjoyed Recently That Weren't My Typical Type of Book. 1.  Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick I don't typically read mysteries/thrillers so this book was certainly out of my comfort zone. 2.  Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake I don't even like watching Horror films, let alone reading Horror novels like Girl of Nightmares. 3.  The Moaning of Life by Karl Pilkington I really don't read a lot of non-fiction, and definitely not celebrity memoirs. 4.  Reservoir Dogs by Quentin Tarantino I've only ever read 2 screenplays in my life, this being one of them. 5.  The Martian by Andy Weir I actually don't read a lot of sci-fi, so this was an exception. 6.  Emma by Jane Austen I haven't read many classics, but this is something that is out of my comfort zone that I want to change. 7.

I requested this book initially because of the photography element, as it is a passion of mine, but I also enjoy reading about it. I was wary as it is pitched as Horror, and I am not the biggest fan of that, but I was actually disappointed. It wasn't scary in the slightest and I wanted some. However, this book was very visual and easy to read, so I can't complain there. The killer was predictable and there weren't many moments that surprised me, unfortunately.
