Publisher/Year: June 14th 2011 Razorbill Genre: YA Contemporary Series: No Pages: 288 Source/Format: Paperback | Bought Rating: 4.5 stars out of 5 *This review may contain spoilers!* Synopsis Clay Jensen doesn't want anything to do with the tapes Hannah Baker made. Hannah is dead. Her secrets should be buried with her. Then Hannah's voice tells Clay that his name is on her tapes-- and that he is, in some way, responsible for her death. All through the night, Clay keeps listening. He follows Hannah's recorded words throughout his small town. . . . . .and what he discovers changes his life forever. My review I did not expect to love this book as much as I did, or for it to affect me so much. Obviously this is a sensitive subject, and I was hesitant to pick it up initially because of the possibility it wasn't handled in the best way, but I found it to be very respectful. This book stayed with me for a long time after I read it, and I foun

Top Ten Popular Authors I Haven't Read Anything From

Image
Hi everyone! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, which is hosted over at  The Broke and The Bookish . This week's topic is a freebie, and I decided to talk about my Top Ten Popular Authors I Haven't Read Anything From. 1. George R.R. Martin For the longest time, I was hugely intimidated by his books, but now that I own some of them I am pressuring myself to read them. 2. Sarah J. Maas It feels like everyone in the book blogging community is a fan of Sarah's works, and I just haven't gotten to them yet! 3. Leigh Bardugo I honestly thought I would read her Grisha trilogy soon, but the time has passed and she is already out with a new book! 4. Lauren Oliver I have owned the Delirium trilogy for so long already. 5. Lauren Kate The fact that they are making a film out of Fallen is making me want to get to her books sooner. 6. Laini Taylor Laini has a cult following, and maybe that's why I haven't read Daughter of Smoke and B

Mini Reviews #4

More mini reviews, because they're so fun! The Heartbreakers by Ali Novak Publisher/Year: August 4th 2015 Sourcebooks Fire Source/Format: e-arc | NetGalley (Thanks NetGalley/Sourcebooks Fire!) Rating: 3.5 stars out of 5 I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This in no way affects my opinion. When this was originally started on Wattpad, I read it and loved it, so of course I requested it on NetGalley. I am pleased for Ali that she got a publishing deal for this book, as it is cute, but sadly there isn't much more to it. The plot was predictable, and while I liked all the characters, none of them were that interesting. I did enjoy the whole music/band storyline and it was nice to read it again because it had been a while, but it wasn't anything special, sadly. It's About Love by Steven Camden Publisher/Year: August 4th 2015 HarperCollins Children's Source/Format: e-arc | NetGalley (Thanks NetGalley/HarperCo

Rating: 4 stars out of 5 I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This in no way affects my opinion. *This review may contain spoilers!* Synopsis Grace and Tippi are twins – conjoined twins.  And their lives are about to change. No longer able to afford homeschooling, they must venture into the world – a world of stares, sneers and cruelty. Will they find more than that at school? Can they find real friends? And what about love? But what neither Grace or Tippi realises is that a heart-wrenching decision lies ahead. A decision that could tear them apart. One that will change their lives even more than they ever imagined… My review I have to be honest, when I first realised that this book was written in verse, I was apprehensive as this would

Until Greg’s mother forces him to rekindle his childhood friendship with Rachel. When Rachel stops treatment, Greg and Earl decide the thing to do is to make a film for her, which turns into the Worst Film Ever Made and becomes a turning point in each of their lives. And all at once Greg must abandon invisibility and stand in the spotlight. My review I bought this
