This is the next in the series, and I hope to read it soon. 4.  Slasher Girls & Monster Boys by April Genevieve Tucholke This sounds like such a great, gruesome, gory YA anthology with some amazing authors. 5.  Ms Marvel Vol. 1: No Normal by G. Book title/Author: The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion Publisher/Year: January 2nd 2014 Penguin Genre: Romance/Contemporary Series: Don Tillman #1 Pages: 327 Source/Format: Paperback | Library Rating: 4 stars out of 5 *This review may contain spoilers!* Synopsis Meet Don Tillman. Don is getting married. He just doesn't know who to yet. But he has designed a very detailed questionnaire to help him find the perfect woman. One thing he already knows, though, is that it's not Rosie. Absolutely completely, definitely not. My review I did not go into this book knowing anything in the slightest of the plot, but the sheer amount of attention this book received around its publication date made me so curious that I finally decided to give it a go when I saw it in my local library. Immediately Don reminded me so much of Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory, and I loved it. Getting to see the ins and outs of someone so remarkable as Don T

This week's topic is Top Ten Books On My Spring TBR List. 1.  Wonder by Travis Thrasher I've had an e-arc of this for a little while, so I felt it was time to give it a go. It sounds really thrilling and I can't wait to read it. 2.  The Catalyst by Helena Coggan This book received so much attention around the time it was released that I just have to see what all the fuss is about! 3.  Chaos Theory by M. Evonne Dobson When I saw this described as a YA contemporary crime novel, I knew I had to read it. It just sounds right up my street. 4.  Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling This is obviously a re-read for me, but ever since I got the new editions for Christmas I have been wanting to read them again. 5.  Biggie by Derek E. Sullivan The whole premise of a story following a baseball legend's obese son intrigues me so m

Hi everyone! Today I have someone very special on the blog, Sami from Roger Charlie. She is here to talk about her business, so please enjoy! Hi and thank you so much for having me!  I wanted to take the opportunity to share what it is I do in case it is helpful to any of your followers, and also connect with even more of your readers out there, as one of my very favorite people to work with are book bloggers and reviewers! First of all - let me fill you in a bit on who I am. My name is Sami and I run a company called Roger Charlie that specializes in publicity and management for creative professionals - particularly authors, musicians and small businesses.  I actually just recently jumped out on my own after nearly four years working exclusively in literary publicity because in addition to books, both local/small business and music are also two of my very biggest passions, and I wanted to move more into supporting those endeavors, as well. I really love what I do. I lo

Top Ten Books For Readers Who Like Vampires

Image
Hi everyone! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, which is hosted over at  The Broke and The Bookish . This week's topic is Top Ten Books For Readers Who Like Vampires. 1.  Morganville Vampires series by Rachel Caine I've read about half of the books in this series, which is saying quite a lot seeing as there are 15 books in this series. From what I've read, I like this series so far and I can't wait to see what happens next. 2.  Vampire Knight manga by Matsuri Hino I would recommend this manga to anyone who is a big fan of vampires but has never ventured into the world of manga. 3.  Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead This is probably one  of the more popular YA vampire series out there, but I would just like to bring it to attention for anyone who hasn't heard of it. I loved this series so much, and hopefully so will you! 4.  Blue Bloods series by Melissa de la Cruz I've only read the first two books in this series but I really li

Before I Blogged I Read: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

Image
I started this blog around a year and a half ago, so obviously there are TONS of books that I read before this blog was created. This feature, which was made by the awesome Jamie over at  The Perpetual Page Turner , showcases books that we've read a long time ago. Now, this won't be like a normal review. Instead I will just be sharing some notes I had while reading it originally. Book title/ Author: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins Publisher/ Year: September 1st 2009 Scholastic Genre: YA Dystopian Series: The Hunger Games #2 Pages: 472 Source/ Format: Paperback | Gifted Rating: I gave it 4 stars on Goodreads Date I read it: July 2013 Thoughts 1. Kept the format the same. Equal parts of me liked and disliked the fact that the format of a "Hunger Games" was the same. I do really enjoy the whole premise of the competition but I am curious to see what the book could've been like if it didn't just so happen to be the 75th anniversary

Top Ten Books I Would Classify As My All-Time Favourites From The Past 3 Years

Image
Hi everyone! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, which is hosted over at  The Broke and The Bookish . This week's topic is Top Ten Books I Would Classify As My All-Time Favourites From The Past 3 Years. 1.  Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling I have a few disclaimers when it comes to this particular choice of mine. Even though the first time I read this book was more than 3 years ago, as I re-read it so often, I think it's okay. Also, I adore the entirety of the Harry Potter series, but this just happens to be my favourite of the bunch. 2.  The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater I am kind of cheating with this one, because I'm including the whole series instead of just one, but I can't help it! They're all just so good. Maggie is an instant-buy author for me, so it's no surprise that this series is included in this list. 3.  Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro This book, to me, is like no other. I find it hard to explain to ot
