Image
Hi everyone! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, which is hosted over at  The Broke and The Bookish . This week's topic is Top Ten Books People Have Been Telling Me That I MUST Read. 1. The Maze Runner by James Dashner My best friend told me that I have to read it, for 3 reasons. 1: It's an amazing book. 2: It's being turned into a film. 3: It has Dylan O'Brien in it (better known as my future husband.) 2. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephenie Perkins This book is one of the most popular YA books right now, so I definitely need to check it out. 3. We Were Liars by E. Lockhart This is another book that has been massively popular and I feel like I'm missing out by not reading it. This just means I'll have to pick it up soon! 4. Paper Towns by John Green Ever since I read and loved The Fault In Our Stars, people have been telling me I must read Paper Towns. If it's anything like The Fault In Our Stars, then I'm sure I'll love

Top Ten Books I'm Not Sure I Want To Read

Hi everyone! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, which is hosted over at  The Broke and The Bookish . This week's topic is Top Ten Books I'm Not Sure I Want To Read. 1. Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy I have a hard time reading classics as it is, but 813 pages of it? Never going to happen. I would love to read it, as I already know I enjoy the story, but this might just have to be one of those that I listen to instead. 2. City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare The first 3 books in this series are some of my all-time favourite books. However, I didn't enjoy the 4th one as much and apparently the last 3 books of the series are not as good as the first 3. I'm worried that I won't enjoy the world and the characters any more, which are things I fell in love with before. 3. Metamorphosis by Ovid This is another massive classic book that I just don't think I'll have the time to read. I originally bought it because it was featured as one of the 1001 b

MY ONE YEAR BLOGOVERSARY

A year ago, if you told me I would have a book blog and although not consistently, still post on it and keep it a part of my life, I would tell you you were crazy Even though books have been a massive part of my life since I was a child, I never thought I would take the next step and put my opinions out there for the world to see. Now I certainly haven't been the best blogger. I posted very inconsistently, sometimes leaving 2 months between my reviews. Having this blog has been a massive learning curve, from learning how to balance school, social life, family, and the blog, to simply running a website. I have met some great people because of this blog, and I have had the opportunity to read some truly amazing books before publication date, which is something I never thought I would say. Since realising that I have had this blog for a whole 365 days, it has made me really want to buck up and try hard to be consistent with my posts, and be active on social media, and all the ot

Let's Get Lost by Adi Alsaid: Book review

Image
Book title/ Author: Let's Get Lost by Adi Alsaid Publisher/ Year: August 1st 2014 Harlequin Teen Genre: YA Contemporary Series: No Pages: 304 Rating: 5 stars out of 5 *This review may contain spoilers!* Synopsis Five strangers. Countless adventures. One epic way to get lost. Four teens across the country have only one thing in common: a girl named Leila. She crashes into their lives in her absurdly red car at the moment they need someone the most. My review First things first, out of the 4 main characters (apart from Leila) I have definitely written the most about Hudson. It's probably because he is essentially the love interest of this story. Also, throughout the story, Leila thinks about him most. I'm going to be honest here and say that I was VERY intimidated to read this book. All the reviews I'd read had been positive and praised Adi Alsaid's writing massively. I find myself putting off reading popular books for 2 reasons

Top Ten Books I'd Give To Readers Who Have Never Read YA Paranormal

Image
Hi everyone! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, which is hosted over at  The Broke and The Bookish . This week's topic is Top Ten Books I'd Give To Readers Who Have Never Read YA Paranormal. 1. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (Twilight #1) Now what would a list about YA Paranormal books be without Twilight? Although this book is one of those hit or miss ones, I still believe it deserves a spot on this list as it opened up my eyes to the world of Young Adult Paranormal. 2. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare (The Mortal Instruments #1) This series has a variety of paranormal creatures. From werewolves, to vampires, to fairies and warlocks. It is one of the many reasons why I love this series so much and why I think it is a good book to read to be introduced to many supernatural creatures. 3. Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater (The Wolves of Mercy Falls #1) I really like Shiver and how it gives you two sides of a werewolf story: one obviously being from the werewolf's p
